App Review: wunderlist
As fantastic as OmniFocus is, I can understand how it can still be daunting and maybe even overkill for a lot of people. Some just want a simple todo list that is fast, easy to use, and free. wunderlist by 6Wunderkinder delivers on all fronts, and more.
When you first open wunderlist, you are presented with a tutorial in the form of a list of tasks. Each one shows you how to add a new list, a new task, to star a task, add a note, due dates, etc. The best feature about wunderlist has to be its cloud-syncing abilities. It syncs all of your tasks and data in the app to their web server, which can then be updated on any other of your iOS devices or any of your Macs/PCs. There is even a companion desktop app (also free) to go with wunderlist.
The app looks great and is dead simple to use. At each screen, there is a box at the top that you can type in to add a new list or item. Tapping on a task gives way to more information, where you can add notes, set a due date, star the task, or change the list it is in. The categories at the bottom of the app are broken down into lists, starred, today, and overdue so it’s easy to find the tasks that are important to you.
wunderlist is available for free from the App Store.
