Apple Event/New Device Predictions

Many of us were expecting to see Apple unveil the new iPhone 5 and iPod lineup on September 7th. Sadly, we never saw the event take place and are still wondering when it will happen. I have been anticipating this for a while, and it’s very disappointing that we won’t see it for another couple of weeks. The latest date that Apple has held their music event was September 9th (today) 2008.

Apple usually unveils the new iPod lineup (iPod shuffle, iPod Nano, and of course, the iPod touch) on this event, but due to the delay of the iPhone 5, the new iPhone and iPods will be showcased in this event. My guess is that due to this prototype being lost in a bar, Apple has put off the event to situate it, and then continue to release shots, and specs to the general public. My guess as to the exact day it will occur will be September 20th, with an official release day in the US of October 21st for both the iPod touch 5th Generation, iPhone 5, iPod Shuffle, and iPod Nano. But the question still looms. What carriers and features will be introduced?

I believe that the iPhone 5 will be released on two carriers still. Verizon Wireless and AT&T. There are many rumors of the iPhone coming to Sprint, but I just don’t see it happening. Apple already has flexible carriers to your preference. They don’t need another one to succeed. I also think that the new iDevices will feature a brand new 8 MP camera, and will have a larger 4 inch screen. Also, the call quality will improve, as well as the weight, and thickness. Not to mention the new A5 dual-core processor, that both the iPod touch and iPhone 5 should present to its buyers.

What do you think the new iPhone and iPod will feature?
