The new jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 is reportedly very, very close to being released and was teased on Twitter on Saturday. According to various reports, the jailbreak will drop within the next 24 hours.

The new jailbreak will be available through RedSn0w and PwnageToold reportedly. RedSn0w will be available for both Mac and PC and PwnageTool will be available for Mac OSX. Pwnagetoold will be for those who want to preserve their baseband. It should be noted that this jailbreak will not work with the iPad 2.

Before jailbreaking, remember to backup you packages and if you need an unlock on 4.3.1, you’ll need a custom .ipsw file. No unlock has been paid attention to by the Dev Team.

The new jailbreak is scheduled to drop at GMT-8, which means for everyone not in GMT.

  • 12 AM Pacific
  • 1 AM Mountain
  • 2 AM Central
  • 3 AM Eastern

The dev team should be releasing the jailbreak by midnight on the WestCoast. Stay tuned for jailbreak news on JohnsiPhone.com.
