The iPad 2 jailbreak has taken way too long to come out. Because of how efficiently the DevTeam has worked to jailbreak recent versions of iOS, it was expected of the DevTeam to see the jailbreak of the iPad 2 come much faster than it has come. It’s been almost 3 months since the release of the iPad 2, yet there is sti

ll no jailbreak.

We reported a couple of days back that JailbreakMe founder Comex recently found a jailbreak via a PDF exploit that would be coming within the next couple of days. It was not certain whether this would be an iPad 2 jailbreak or an iOS 5 untethered jailbreak.

Responding to a tweet from a follower today, Comex confirmed both questions from above with the tweet below.

Whyike: @comex the waiting after your teaser remaind me the waiting after @i0n1c trolling “elevat0r”, if you have something, please release it…

Comex: @whyike it’s almost ready.

While it may seem as if Comex confirmed that it was an iPad 2 jailbreak, iDB has speculated that this may be an iOS 5 jailbreak for two reasons.

  1. The iOS 5 jailbreak may be a hardware jailbreak. Better to release it sooner than later!
  2. This may be only an exploit that Apple may have already patched with the anticipated release of Beta 2 within the next couple of days.

Are you excited to see what Comex has in store?
