iPhone 4S is Jailbroken
It was just a couple of days ago that the Chronic Dev Team were getting really close to completing the untethered jailbreak for A5 devices. This would include the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S.
For people who don’t know what jailbreaking is, it is basically unlocking iOS and making free to customize your iPhone, being able to add themes, tweaks and anything you choose to make your phone customizable to your pleasure.
While there has yet to be a release date announced by the dev team, hacker pod2g and the rest of his team posted a video showing off the untethered jailbreak. The video is right down below.
The video was shot by Dustin Howett, who is an iOS developer and a hacker on the Chronic Dv Team. In the video, Howett demonstrates a completely untethered jailbreak on his iPhone 4S, showing off Cydia, the jailbreak app store.
Pod2g notes on his blog that there is “only a few to wait now”, so it can be assumed that we are getting very close to getting an A5 jailbreak released soon. Make sure to check back to JohnsiPhone for all of your jaillbreak news! We will let you know as soon as the jailbreak is publicly released.
