Everyone is waiting for Apple to release the next generation iPhone. There have been rumors of a September or October release for the next generation iPhone. This is all but confirmed as multiple news outlets are saying that Apple will hold its annual its annual iPod event on September 7th. The announcement of a next generation iPhone will most likely fall into the category of a “One More Thing” considering it is the annual iPod event.

The Japanese new website Kodariwasan has reported that the iPhone will most likely be announced at the event for the iPod announcement. This news means that Apple event is less than a month away.

Apple has annually held the iPod event with the release date of iOS 5 likely to be confirmed at the event. This most likely fits in with the rumor that the iPhone will be released in late September or October and that fits in with an early September announcement.

According to MacRumors, Kodariwasan has had a very good past of predicting Apple rumors as they correctly predicted the release of the Mac Mini in 2009.
