Apple has officially announced its entry into the textbook market with it’s introduction of the new iBooks 2 app and iBooks Author e-book authoring tool. If you are curious on the cost of a textbook from the iBooks store, Apple announced that high school textbooks through Pearson, McGraw Hill and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will be available through the new iBookstore textbooks category....

Bloomberg has reported that Apple’s next generation iPad will have a quad-core processor and 4G/LTE data speed capability. Verizon Wireless’ Chief Financial Office Fran Shammo told attendees at a conference today that Verizon has sold 4.2 million iPhone during the holiday quarter according to Bloomberg. The numbers reported by Shammo show that Verizon has more than doubled iPhone sales from previous quarters. Apple Senior Vice President of Design Jonathan Ive has been granted knighthood in the United Kingdom in the New Years Honours List. The report says that Ive’s official title is a Knight Commander of the British Empire.
