Spotify, my new love
From time to time, I like to get my music on. Yes, I will admit, there are times when I just love to jam out and have a good time with whatever is playing on my car stereo. However, for some reason, I seem to run out of music on my iPhone pretty quick, or inevitably, I don’t have with me the thing I am craving most at the moment. There hasn’t really been a good solution for me other than streaming things from my computer through AudioGalaxy, which worked well! If I had the music at home. This of course became a battle of how much music to buy, which of my friends already had the CD, or should I delve into the nefarious arts of torrenting. These were the questions that kept me awake at night.
Then came Spotify. A friend showed me how it worked and sent me an invite. His ability to just type in something he wanted to listen to, and have it appear on his phone was pretty impressive. I liked the service and I liked the way it worked, so I loaded it up on my home computer and immediately started building playlists. This was especially fun since I could share them with my Facebook friends and see what they were listening to as well. It was a good time, with many conversations sparked because of the simple app on my Mac. I was a little turned off by having to pay $10 a month to have the same type of service on my phone, but when I realized that I was literally saving myself having to buy an album every single month by purchasing the service, I didn’t feel too bad anymore. I really like the way the service works and I am happy with the incredibly high quality that the music comes down at. When you have the full service for your mobile device the HQ music is amazing.
Overall, $10 (per month) well spent.
PS. I have a few invites, if anyone needs one, leave me a comment!
