All right!  Here’s some awesome news that I’m sure a lot of you readers have been waiting to hear!  It seems that the Verizon iPhone will have a $30 unlimited data plan as an option, at least for the moment.

Verizon COO Lowell McAdam told the Wall Street Journal this:

“I’m not going to shoot myself in the foot.” He said.  “Not offering an unlimited plan would put up a barrier for customers who might otherwise switch from AT&T,” he said.  “The country’s No.2 carrier still has millions of subscribers grandfathered into unlimited plans they signed up for before AT&T switched to tiered pricing last summer”

However, McAdams also mentioned that Verizon will also, eventually, will get capped or tiered plans of their own.

AT&T, just last year, went from unlimited to 200MB to 2GB so which of you plan to get a Verizon unlimited plan before they follow in AT&T’s footsteps?  Let us know in your comments, I look forward to reading them!

  1. Josh says:

Yeah, I have AT&T and I think someone should start a treaty and have people to sign it, so that way we can get an Unlimited Data Plan for $30. So if John can do that, it’ll be a lot better than Verizon losing there $30 Unlimited Data Plan.
